Eco-innovation is at the heart of the Environmental Technologies Action Plan that helps bridge the gap between research & development and the market place across Europe for eco-friendly:
- and management methods
Within the framework of the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, Eco-innovation supports the first application and further market uptake of some of the best eco-innovative products and services in Europe, and helps overcome those critical barriers that still hamper their commercial success.
In the field of energy, the program supports innovative approaches to EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) including increased resource and energy efficiency and biodiversity aspects or simplifications (Cluster approach is mandatory).
The 2010 call for proposals is now open. The deadline for aplications is the 9th of September.
