Reason for participating in POWER cluster

Since a lack of public acceptance can be a major obstacle for the expansion of offshore wind farms, the Stiftung provides information to the general public to promote public acceptance for offshore wind energy. This is crucial for the success of the former development of offshore wind energy.

After having initiated the German offshore wind energy test site ‚alpha ventus‘, a key objective of the Stiftung is the development of projects which enhance the knowledge on offshore wind energy within the public, which provides a basis for an increasing acceptance of offshore wind farms.

In addition, the Stiftung wants to increase its European wide activities and to establish contacts with other institutions working in the field of enhancing offshore wind energy development.
