Strengthening the region as a centre of science and research is also the declared objective of its close co-operation with the University of Bremen.

ForWind is the joint Center for Wind Energy Research of the Universities of Oldenburg, Hannover and Bremen, and the biggest research cluster in wind energy on university level in Germany. ForWind bundles wind energy research activities from the three universities within all relevant areas of physics and engineering. Reason for participating in POWER cluster

The University of Oldenburg has special interest in knowledge management and education with special emphasis in international integrated water and coastal management and teaching. POWER Cluster gives us the opportunity to share experiences and learn target group specific needs.

ForWind is interested to be part of the international network to exchange experiences on the development of study programmes (full-time, part-time, BSc-/MSc-levels, continuing studies) in offshore wind energy.
